My students are from a wide variety of backgrounds and many of them are learning a third or fourth language. We are a suburban school but we have many urban students due to open enrollment. My students are often struggling to catch up on basic skills and they need reinforcement of skills across all of their classes. I see approximately 150 students per day and I am fortunate to loop with my students and see them for several years. The projects that I request often help us fulfill the needs of students that are beyond the materials in our classroom. We have asked for magazines, desks, projectors and more. Thanks to the wonderful help of DonorsChoose, my students are entering the world with a broader appreciation for the world around them.
