Our students come from the following statistics, according to a report from the City of Los Angeles / Gang Reduction and Youth Development: 29.6% of residents earn less than $15,000 per year; 17.3% earn between $15,000 and $30,000 annually; 57% lack a high school diploma; 3% of residents possess a Bachelor’s degree; most households are headed by a single parent. In the face of these challenges, providing our at-risk students with skills to create businesses, critical thinking, a desire to pursue advanced degrees, and wrap-around services becomes a critical task that requires the unity of leaders -- individuals, organizations, foundations, small businesses, and corporations. hide
