Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love that my students love PE! Last year I was able to teach volleyball and tennis to them. They loved learning both sports and were excited to practice them during PE and recess. The only downside was that there wasn’t enough equipment for everyone to use. This year I am adding kickball and conditioning with jump ropes.

This project is designed to put more equipment into my students’ hands!

With your help, they will be able to partner up to practice volleyball, kickball, and jumping rope skills. They will also be able to use their own racquet to practice hitting the tennis ball. Less downtime and waiting in line during PE will allow them to get more practice in passing, serving, hitting, and kicking the ball. They will have a better chance at improving their skills in volleyball, tennis, and kickball. Conditioning is so important and needed for both team & individual sports so learning to jump rope is vital!

Please consider helping put more sports equipment into their hands! Many of these students will continue to play these sports both competitively and recreationally! It’s a win for a healthy lifestyle! Thank you!
