I was able to label the books with the colored stickers so students can easily see if they are within their reading levels. \r\n\r\nOther supplies donated have been used accordingly. The laminating sheets are being used on special projects as well as classroom charts. My students love the new rewards they earn through our incentive program. The fidget spinners and stress squishies are a big hit! \r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting my classroom! When I told the students we were getting the badminton equipment they were so excited! Only a handful had ever played it before but all were excited to get the chance at learning new skills! They have become experts at setting up the nets and they take great care in putting the equipment away! Serving has been tricky but they are getting better everyday! Some students have encouraged their parents to buy sets for use at home! Thank you again for supporting our 3rd grade class. My students love them. They were so excited when they saw them delivered to our classroom. They couldn't believe people donated them to our classroom! I explained that there are so many kind people willing to help students get what they need to make learning fun! \r\n\r\nSo far, my students have been able to grab one and move to a quiet space in the classroom to read a book or work on a class assignment with a partner. They have partnered up to read books on them, and some just sit and listen to a classmate read a book that may be too hard for them to read. I am extremely happy to receive these seats. We now have enough for half of the class to use them at one time. We have rotated using them and everyone is excited to get a chance to relax on a comfy seat to do some reading or class work. Now, students can't wait for our reading or independent work time. They know they are not stuck in a desk. It is so engaging that more students are trying their best to learn. \r\nThey are also encouraged to use the mirrors to double check what our lips, mouth, teeth and tongue should be doing when making sounds to match letters. \r\nThe highlighter strips are helping our struggling readers focus on and follow along as they read. I am excited to be able to have a laminator in my own classroom! It was so easy to print and laminate the pictures that go with my pictorials. They have been inspired to create simple sentences to creative stories.
