My Project

I recognize and support each student as an individual in my Emotional Support and Autistic support classes, with their unique strengths, needs, interests, and abilities. Many of my students struggle with coordination, physical wellness, and confidence.

Structured activities such as table tennis and scoop ball provide opportunities to move, practice hand-eye coordination, improve balance, and build strength and confidence.

These activities, to be taught during their physical education classes, will promote students to be active while also supporting focus, teamwork, communication, and overall well-being. They will be able to practice managing frustration in a safe and supportive environment, because, as any of us who have missed the ball, have had the experience of chasing it down.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
