My Project

Creative storytelling is an important part of our classroom because it helps students build imagination, strengthen writing skills, and develop confidence as communicators. Every day, students engage in hands-on writing activities that encourage them to create characters, develop plots, describe settings, and share their unique voices through stories. These activities make writing meaningful, interactive, and fun while supporting literacy growth across the curriculum.

To bring these storytelling experiences to life, students rely on basic classroom supplies such as pencils, sticky notes, Post-it flags, dry erase markers, glue sticks, and paint.

Students use sticky notes to brainstorm story ideas, plan characters, and organize plot events. Dry erase boards and markers allow them to practice writing skills, collaborate with peers, and revise their work. Glue sticks help students create interactive storybooks, writing journals, and publishing projects that showcase their creativity. Paint provides students with an opportunity to illustrate their stories, bringing characters, settings, and important story events to life through art. Combining writing and visual expression helps students deepen their understanding of storytelling while making the creative process even more engaging with visual arts.

Classroom essentials, such as paper towels and Clorox wipes, also help maintain a clean, comfortable learning environment where students can focus on writing, creating, and collaboration. With a steady supply of these materials, students will have the tools they need to participate fully in creative storytelling activities, take risks as writers, and develop a lifelong love of reading and writing. Your support will help provide meaningful opportunities for every student to create, imagine, illustrate, and share their stories through visual arts.
