Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Every day, I watch little hands carefully choose a book before settling into our classroom library. Some students excitedly share stories with friends, while others quietly turn each page, discovering new worlds through pictures and words. These precious moments are where a lifelong love of reading begins.

Our classroom library has been a favorite place for children for many years; our current sofas have welcomed hundreds of young readers over the past twelve years, and they have been loved every single day, but after years of story time, laughter, and learning, they are now worn, torn, and no longer provide the cozy, inviting space that our newest students deserve.

With your support in acquiring sofa, and a chair for our classroom library will become a warm, comfortable space where every child feels invited to curl up with a favorite book, strengthen early literacy skills, build vocabulary, and discover the joy of reading. Together, we can create a reading corner that inspires curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of books.
