Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students because they are resilient, hardworking, and full of potential. They come to school with different experiences and challenges, but they continue to show up, learn, and work toward their goals. I want to make sure that a lack of basic necessities never stands in the way of their success.

The food pantry will provide students with easy access to food when they may not have enough at home.

Hygiene products will help students feel clean, comfortable, and confident throughout the school day. Clothing and personal-care items will provide support when students need them unexpectedly. By providing these resources in a safe and welcoming environment, I hope to help any student in our school who needs it feel cared for, reduce distractions and stress, and allow them to focus more fully on learning and being successful at school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
