My Project

Our school is fortunate to have a park and playground right next to our building, and we want to make it a place where our students and neighbors can share something simple and meaningful: books.

This project will help us create a new Little Free Library for the park.

This is actually our second attempt at bringing a little library to our community—the first one was stolen. Rather than giving up, our National Honor Society students want to try again and build something that is welcoming, colorful, and truly connected to our school community.

Our NHS students will take an active role in the project. They will paint and decorate the library, assemble it, and install it on the existing stand in the park. Once it is in place, the library will be available to students, families, and community members to take a book, leave a book, and discover something new.

We hope this library will become a lasting reminder that books are meant to be shared—and that our school community believes in trying again.
