Therefore, those binders were not given out right away. However, throughout the weeks and months, as binders become lost or damaged, I am able to supply individual students with these materials. I will also have enough materials to provide for next year's students.\r\n\r\nAs for the pencils, they are constantly in high demand. I would like to believe that my students come to school each day with at least one writing utensil, but with the growth of technology use in the classroom, it seems to be at the bottom of the priority list. I'm glad that I'm able to supply my students with writing utensils so they can complete their work the old-school way.\r\n\r\nWithout your donation, many of these items would have to come out of my own pocket. Because of this support, I have been able to establish a consistent \"check-in\" routine that spans the entire school day. In the mornings, students stop by for a healthy snack, which also provides a valuable opportunity for me to take a \"temperature check\" on how they are doing emotionally and academically.\r\nDuring lunch, my space has become a calm and welcoming area where students can sit, eat, and use the new fidget and sensory tools. I have also been able to gift several fidgets to students who need them most for permanent use. Overall, this has been a true win for everyone involved, allowing me to support a much larger number of students than ever before. As word continues to spread, more students are seeking out my room as a safe, supportive place to focus, reset, and re-engage.\r\nMoving forward, our next steps are to expand this culture of care through a student-led \"Wellness Peer\" project. Now that many students consistently use the space for snacks and sensory support, I am working with them to identify their personal \"focus triggers\" and select strategies to help them regulate and return to class ready to learn. Whether it is a specific fidget tool or a breathing exercise by the waterfall, students are learning what works best for them.\r\nDue to the donations, students have been coming to my space to advocate for their needs. The disruptions and challenges brought on by the pandemic significantly affected our school community, and I appreciate your understanding as we navigated that period. I am grateful for the opportunity to now reflect on and share the impact of your generosity.\r\n\r\nThank you for your generous support of our Anatomy and Physiology classroom. Because of your funding, my students were able to engage in meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that transformed both their understanding of course content and their confidence as aspiring healthcare professionals.\r\n\r\nWith the medical simulators and equipment made possible through this project, students moved beyond two-dimensional diagrams and videos and into immersive, three-dimensional learning. They practiced real clinical skills such as intubation, measured blood oxygen levels, and used medical tools to explore how structure informs function in the human body. These experiences significantly deepened students' understanding of complex physiological concepts and made learning more engaging, memorable, and relevant.\r\n\r\nJust as importantly, these hands-on activities helped students envision themselves in medical settings. I observed increased curiosity, thoughtful questioning, and a greater sense of confidence as students worked with professional-grade equipment. For many, this was their first opportunity to interact with tools used in real healthcare environments, and it validated their aspirations in a tangible way. Students frequently shared that these experiences made the field of medicine feel more accessible and achievable.\r\n\r\nIn an underfunded urban school, opportunities like these are often out of reach. Your generosity ensured that my students had access to high-quality, experiential learning within their own classroom - an opportunity more commonly afforded to students in well-resourced schools. The impact of this project extends far beyond this course, shaping students' academic choices, career goals, and belief in their own potential.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students, their education, and their futures. Students are working on fluency (reading with greater speed, accuracy, and expression) while also learning comprehension strategies such as summarizing and clarifying unfamiliar words. Through partner reading and small group discussions, students are developing confidence as they see real progress in their abilities.\r\nThe impact has been remarkable. The cart allows me to easily move from one room to another, making my rotating schedule easier to manage. I'm able to take my materials from my borrowed classroom to my office in order to make sure that my students are reaching their learning targets during my grading and assessment times. It also creates a space that my students know is theirs in our borrowed classroom, and we are able to keep our materials organized.\r\n\r\nThis class would simply not be running without the binders, dividers, highlighters, and notebooks that were provided as well! I was not given workbooks for my curriculum, so I had to print out the pages individually. The binders allowed students to each have their own \"workbook\" to keep their supplies in. Every day, the students read an independent reading book and practice their literary strategies by summarizing what they've read in their notebooks. Some students use their notebooks as journal spaces to express themselves. Highlighters and sticky notes allow students to practice breaking words into sounds and finding words and phrases to clarify. They love using the marker boards to break down difficult to words into bases with affixes.
