My Project

Every day in our Pre-K classroom, our carpet is the heart of our learning. It's where my students gather for morning meetings, circle time, story time, choice time, quiet time, movement activities, and countless moments of discovery and friendship.

Unfortunately, our current classroom carpet has seen many years of little feet, busy bodies, and daily use.

It is worn and no longer provides the comfortable, inviting learning space our young learners deserve.

A new classroom carpet would make an incredible difference for my Pre-K friends. It would give them a clean, comfortable place to sit together, build social skills, listen to stories, practice early literacy and math concepts, and participate in engaging hands-on lessons. For many children, the carpet is more than just a floor covering—it's their gathering place, their reading nook, their stage for imaginative play, and their safe space for learning.

At this age, creating a warm and welcoming environment is essential. A new carpet would help foster a sense of community, encourage participation, and provide a defined space where our students can learn, grow, and thrive together every day.
