My Project

Throughout the day, students go through a variety of emotions and experiences. Sometimes those emotions can get too big to handle! Our school has a sensory and movement based reset room to help students when they have those big emotions. The reset room is a place for students to calm down, regulate, and get back to class to keep learning.

With many students using the room, we are in need of a refresh of many items in the reset room to help students regulate and return to class ready to learn!

This project will allow us to replace some broken equipment such as our well-loved trampoline and walking machine, add new whole body movement options for students to use like a balance board, and add new sensory calm down tools, posters, and a new cozy hammock chair for them to calm down in!

With these tools, we will be we will be able to better serve our students, and give them more opportunities to find tools and strategies that help them calm down in an effective and productive way!

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
