I know this technology may not seem overly exciting, but they have greatly improved the daily flow of our day. \r\nIf you can imagine how loud a classroom full of students on educational apps tailored to their needs can be, you know how valuable reliable headphones are. Because of you and your generosity, we now have enough classroom headphone for all students to use. This creates a much more peaceful learning environment and also offsets the burden of students supplying their own headphones. \r\nSimply put, there are never enough Chromebook chargers in a classroom. At least there weren't until now! We regularly use our Chromebooks for educational apps, to type papers, for research, and for the occasional remote learning day. Now we can keep our computers fully charged and send chargers home with students before remote learning days. \r\nThese supplies might not be glitzy, but their impact has been profound. The impact that these 3D printers has made in my classroom and school this year has been amazing! They have been used in many ways this year. Some of those ways include making students designs and ideas come to life, creating manipulatives or other tools to enhance units of study in STEM, printed resources for other classrooms, and even prizes for whole school events! Two of my favorite projects this year with the 3D printers were when 5th graders used TinkerCAD to design their own keychains and got to print them, and when 1st grade drew animal models for their habitats and got to print them and then decorate them! \r\nStudents absolutely LOVE coming in to see what the printers are working on when they come to the STEM room. They are always so excited to see 3D printed projects in action, and love getting to see their ideas become real to them!
