My Project

I absolutely love how unique, curious, and resilient my students are. My 6th and 7th grade students each bring their own strengths, personalities, interests, and learning styles to our functional self-contained classroom. They work incredibly hard, and I want to give them learning experiences that recognize their abilities while supporting the areas where they need additional help.

I am requesting Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to help give my students access to engaging, meaningful, and accessible learning experiences designed to meet them where they are.

As a special education teacher, I know that one lesson or one approach does not work for every learner. My students benefit from visual supports, repetition, differentiated activities, hands-on learning, and opportunities to practice concepts in multiple ways.

The resources in my cart will help me build engaging science and social studies units covering topics such as plant and animal cells, human body systems, Medieval Times, Ancient Civilizations, the Civil War, Westward Expansion, the War of 1812, U.S. government, and American symbols. These materials provide leveled reading passages, vocabulary practice, diagrams, comprehension activities, maps, timelines, flip books, and hands-on projects.

These resources are more than worksheets—they are tools that can help my students understand, participate, and experience success. They allow me to break down challenging concepts, provide additional practice, and make learning more accessible without taking away the excitement of discovering something new.

My goal is to create a classroom where students never feel limited because they learn differently. I want them to feel capable, included, and proud of what they can accomplish. Your support will help me build a curriculum that meets my students’ individual needs while giving them opportunities to learn, grow, and discover just how much they are capable of achieving.
