My Project

I chose DonorsChoose because I want to provide my special education students with the resources they need to feel successful, engaged, and supported in the classroom. The items included in this project will be used for daily classroom activities, learning opportunities, and positive rewards that recognize students’ hard work and accomplishments.

My students work incredibly hard, and I want my classroom to be a place where they have access to materials that make learning meaningful and enjoyable.

DonorsChoose provides an opportunity to bring additional resources into our classroom that may not otherwise be possible through our school’s regular budget.

My goal is to have this project completed before the school year begins so that my students can immediately benefit from these items. Having these resources ready from the first day will allow my students to use them throughout the year as they learn, grow, and celebrate their successes. Their headphones will be used so that when I differentiate the instruction, they can answer questions on their own with their computer reading to them. The earbuds will allow my students to travel from room to room as they are in other classes. Many times, students have a hard time keeping up with them, or they quit working, which is why there are extra. The Teacher Pay Teacher gift card will be used to supplement activities and fun activities. Supporting this project means investing directly in my students and helping create a classroom where every child feels valued, encouraged, and capable of achieving their goals.
