It is impossible to share all of the ways it has impacted my students. Spill after spill and project and after project have been cleaned and bagged up ready for home thanks to your generosity. Cold and flu season is upon us and the tissues have already been used in full force. The bandaids? Those are given out daily for paper cuts and ouchies that should have been covered before they even came to school. It takes such pressure off of me knowing that I don't have to worry if we have tissues or paper towels. I just have to focus on teaching my kids. Because of your support, our classroom has been enriched with Treasure Box items, math manipulatives like number bonds and ten frames, and line-up dots—and the impact has been incredible.\r\nThe Treasure Box items have become a powerful motivator for our students. They light up with excitement when they earn a reward, helping to build not only positive behavior but also a joyful classroom culture where effort and kindness are celebrated.\r\nThe math manipulatives, including number bonds and ten frames, have transformed the way our students engage with numbers. These hands-on tools are helping students develop a stronger understanding of foundational math concepts, boosting both their confidence and their skills. It's amazing to watch the \"aha!\" moments as math starts to make sense in a tangible way.\r\nFinally, the line-up dots have brought structure and calm to our daily routines. What was once a chaotic transition time is now smooth and organized, giving us more time for learning and creating a positive, respectful classroom environment.\r\nYour contribution is more than just supplies—it's an investment in our students' growth, joy, and success. One memorable moment was during a collaborative writing project where students used the new pencils to draft their stories. Meanwhile, the headphones allowed students to listen to writing/ reading prompts on MAP tests and inspirational stories without distraction, helping them focus deeply on their work. The fidget bands provided a quiet way for students who need extra sensory input to stay calm and attentive during lessons. The storage carts have been a game changer for keeping all materials neat and accessible, so transitions between activities are smoother and more efficient.\r\nThe students were genuinely excited and curious when they first saw the new materials. The headphones immediately sparked enthusiasm because they hadn't had personal listening devices before. The pencils, with their fresh, colorful designs, made writing feel more fun and special. Many students also loved the fidget bands, expressing that they helped them concentrate better during classwork. Overall, the new resources brought a fresh energy and sense of ownership to our classroom.\r\nBuilding on our writing project, the next steps involve students revising their drafts with peer feedback and using the headphones to listen to audio examples of storytelling techniques. We plan to integrate the fidget bands during our upcoming reading sessions to support sustained focus. With the organization from the storage carts, students will also begin managing their own supplies, fostering responsibility and independence. We're excited to see how these resources continue to enhance learning and engagement as we move forward.","fullyFundedDate":1747682897179,"projectUrl":"project/first-year-teaching/9323216/","projectTitle":"First Year Teaching","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Maddie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10017626_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746892645231","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10017626"},{"teacherId":10008151,"projectId":9293679,"letterContent":"My students have been able to start the school year with all of their supplies ready to go. They can collect their graded work from them daily and take home to show their families all of their hard work.
