Updated Class Library and Calm Corner

Help me give my students an updated calm corner and class library where they can relax, reset, and enjoy working and reading. This beautiful space will help students feel focused and inspired to learn every day.

My Project

Our classroom calm corner and library are well-loved spaces, but they are in need of thoughtful updates to better support students’ emotional well-being and learning. I am hoping to transform this area into a more peaceful, organized, and inviting environment where students can truly reset, focus, and engage with reading and learning.

This project will include beautiful, durable baskets to neatly store seating cushions, Montessori-style work rugs, and learning materials so students can easily access what they need while keeping the space calm and clutter-free.

I am also requesting a new bookshelf to replace our current one, which is broken and no longer safe or functional. An updated shelf will allow us to display books in a more accessible and appealing way, encouraging students to explore and enjoy reading.

Additionally, flexible seating options will give students choice and comfort, helping them better regulate their bodies and maintain focus throughout the day. When students feel physically comfortable and emotionally supported, they are more ready to learn, collaborate, and succeed.

With these updates, our calm corner and classroom library will become a truly serene, beautiful space that nurtures both the hearts and minds of every student.
