My Project

This year we have started our Botany Club! This has been a great experience this year, allowing our students to take part in caring for our community garden. Students have tended to the garden beds, pulling weeds, tilling soil, and caring for the plants within them. It has allowed so much growth within our students in their teamwork abilities, responsibility as they care for the plants and respect as we learn that plants make our world go round.

We are asking for various materials to add to our Botany Club, all of which will help to enrich our students' experience in gardening, learning about plants and how we can care for them.

These items include books about gardening, gardening tools for students to use, materials to create decorations for our garden, seeds to plant in the garden next year and much more. We have such big plans for the next school year with Botany Club, and these materials will help us to reach that goal for our school.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
