Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students can not learn if they do not have food. Students frequently come to teachers because they are hungry. We try to keep snacks in our room for students who need something to eat, or for kids who are disregulated and need a break to reset before they can reengage. Having a stock ready to go helps us to a reliable source of support for students and helps us to establish positive relationships with them.

Keeping our spaces clean helps us to keep students in school and learning.

Having cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer on hand helps to keep our kids healthy and helps to keep our kids coming to school. Extra classroom supplies like tape, erasers, sharpeners and headphones help us to be prepared when kids need supplies to learn.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
