Molding Minds: Tactile Tools for Regulation & Growth

Help me give my students Crayola Model Magic for hands-on sensory exploration, emotional regulation, and creative expression during counseling sessions.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their honesty, resilience, and unique ways of experiencing the world around them. Many of my students face sensory processing challenges, communication barriers, or big emotions that can feel overwhelming to navigate in a traditional classroom setting. They are at their absolute best when given tactile, low-pressure outlets to express what they are experiencing.

The white and assorted color packs of Crayola Model Magic will be an essential therapeutic and learning tool in our individual and small group counseling sessions.

Because it is soft, mess-free, and lightweight, Model Magic provides grounding sensory input that helps students regulate their nervous systems when they feel anxious or overstimulated.

During our sessions, students will knead, sculpt, and color-blend the clay to create physical models of their feelings, build symbolic representations of their coping strategies, and work through guided social-emotional challenges. Having their own individual packs allows each child to mold, keep, and take pride in their work without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Your support gives these incredible learners a tangible bridge between big emotions and healthy expression, empowering them with the tools they need to feel calm, heard, and confident. Thank you for investing in their emotional well-being!
