The items you provided have had a tremendous and meaningful impact on my students, especially within our calm-down area. This space has become an essential part of our classroom environment, and I want to share how your support has truly changed the way many of my students navigate their emotions, self-regulate, and return to learning successfully.\r\n\r\nSince adding the donated items, I have seen remarkable positive changes in several students who previously struggled with managing frustration, anxiety, or overstimulation. We now have two designated calm-down spots, which has helped eliminate wait times and given students a sense of ownership over the space. Many of my students voluntarily choose to visit the calm-down area before small issues escalate, demonstrating improved self-awareness and emotional insight. This alone has created a more peaceful learning environment for everyone.\r\n\r\nTwo of the most beloved items are the weighted bear and the Boomba. Students love using the weighted bear because it provides calming pressure that helps them feel grounded and secure. I have students who request the weighted bear daily, especially during moments of transition or after returning from specials or recess. The Boomba has become another student favorite; its texture and gentle vibration create a soothing sensory experience that helps students reset quickly. Several students who once needed long breaks to regain focus are now able to return to classwork in just a few minutes because these tools give them the support they need in the moment. Again thank you for Your support as it has truly made a meaningful difference in their school day.","fullyFundedDate":1746656452142,"projectUrl":"project/calm-down-corner-for-a-special-needs-cla/9056114/","projectTitle":"Calm Down Corner For A Special Needs Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Armitage","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4379336_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1490742950136","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-armitage"},{"teacherId":7141070,"projectId":9127720,"letterContent":"Since I received the snacks for my class, my students get to grab a snack when they are hungry and unable to regulate or focus on the task at hand.
