My Project

I love seeing my 4th graders make progress and mature throughout the school year. Using an incentive system can encourage students to demonstrate positive behavior, actively participate in lessons, and put forth their best effort in their schoolwork.

Incentives help create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel valued for their efforts and achievements.

By recognizing and rewarding desirable behaviors, students are motivated to make responsible choices, stay engaged in learning, and develop positive classroom habits. Over time, consistent recognition can build students' confidence, increase their sense of responsibility, improve academic performance, and foster a positive classroom culture that benefits all learners.

I will use items such as animal erasers, mini tubs of sensory sand, stretchy sticky hands, mini cars and skateboards, Play-Doh, and mini drawing boards for this incentive system. Students can earn them during a lesson, after small groups, and at the end of the week for responsible behavior.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
