As the pictures show, the children absolutely love them and are finding it much easier to work collaboratively than before. The tables have encouraged the children to become stronger problem-solvers as they learn to manage both their own materials and their group's shared supplies. They are also becoming more effective communicators and negotiators as they navigate limited space and work through various activities together.\r\n\r\nThese tables have helped the students grow as teammates and partners while completing assignments and taking notes with their table groups. At the same time, their size allows students to work independently when needed, giving them the opportunity to apply what they've learned in a group setting. The children are taking greater responsibility for their own learning and supporting the learning of those around them.\r\n\r\nThe tables have truly been a life- and space-saver, allowing the students—and me—to move comfortably in a small classroom while still encouraging both collaborative and independent activities.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much!","fullyFundedDate":1758045992918,"projectUrl":"project/workspaces-to-promote-student-collaborat/9388295/","projectTitle":"Workspaces to Promote Student Collaboration","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fulton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6317296"},{"teacherId":6317296,"projectId":9375328,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing the flexible seating! The children have truly enjoyed exploring which seating options work best for them. Having a variety of choices has helped them develop better self-regulation skills and adapt to different seating styles as we rotate them each week. This weekly rotation also gives them the chance to try something new or return to a favorite option.\r\n\r\nThe wobble stools have been especially helpful in teaching students how to monitor their body movements so they can stay focused without disturbing others. The floor chairs have become a favorite among both children and adults, offering comfortable support and gentle movement for those who may feel unsure about using the stools.\r\n\r\nThey are also learning valuable lessons in compromise and sharing. Switching seats at the end of each week means that some students return to regular chairs or to a less-preferred option, simply because it's someone else's turn—an important part of building community.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for your generosity and support of my active learners!","fullyFundedDate":1757972699526,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-sharper-thinking-p/9375328/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Sharper Thinking, Part 2!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fulton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6317296"},{"teacherId":6317296,"projectId":9286547,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations! The children were thrilled as I unpacked the boxes and began putting some of the stools together. They have been excitedly exploring the different seating options and discovering which ones best support their learning styles.\r\n\r\nI've already noticed a difference in my more active students. Those who need to move are now able to focus better while releasing excess energy. It's also been inspiring to see the students take ownership of their seating choices. For example, one student realized that a particular stool was too distracting for him and independently asked to switch to something else. Another student commented that using a stool made his back and stomach sore, which opened a great conversation about how it was helping him strengthen muscles he doesn't often use. He now rotates between a traditional chair and a stool to give his core a break.\r\n\r\nThe Ergo chairs, in particular, have been a game-changer. They provide a stable yet engaging option for my less confident students, allowing them to move and focus without the worry of tipping or losing balance as can happen with wobble stools.\r\n\r\nWhen I began this project, my focus was mainly on the physical benefits of flexible seating. What I didn't anticipate was the powerful social-emotional impact. The students are showing kindness and patience as they negotiate seat trades, offering one another turns and respecting each other's choices. It has been incredible to watch these small moments of empathy and collaboration unfold.\r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you for making this possible. Your support has given my students not just new seating, but new opportunities to grow, learn, and connect with one another.","fullyFundedDate":1746787393839,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-sharper-thinking/9286547/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Sharper Thinking","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fulton","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6317296"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40613","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":606,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":76,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":40,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.5,"schoolId":40613,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about C.C.
