The items I am requesting will help not only my students but others in the special eduation program manage anxiety, meet their sensory needs, and give them the ability to have a safe space to calm down when their emotions and sensory needs are elevated. The figit items also give them the ability to maintain focus and stay on task when they are in the general education classrooms. We all engage in some type of sensory needs and need a comfortable chair, a favorite pillow ect. to help us feel less anxious or nervous at times. The swing, stand, bean bag chair, and figits would allow opportunities for our students to receive the sensory needs they require to have a positive learning experience and to be successful in their school setting.
