My Project

I teach pre-k aged students who have a variety of needs. All of my students have delays or disabilities. We individualize all learning activities for each student throughout the day.

Most of the learning in our classroom is done through play.

Play allows the students to learn many important skills: communication, social, imaginative, creative thinking, math, early literacy, motor skills, and many others. I am working on creating a more immersive dramatic play center in our classroom this year. This project would give the students a play refrigerator to store the play food inside and open up more play opportunities. The baby doll high chair would allow them to take the doll play to another level and allow them to practice feeding skills. This project will definitely bring more learning opportunities to our classroom.
