My Project

I am truly happy and blessed to work in a middle school in the county in which I grew up. Our school is a Title I school, with the majority of students receiving free or reduced lunch. We have tremendous community and parental support. While our school and district may not have an extensive budget, students are eager to learn; and they love participating in activities that are fun and engaging.

Our volleyball players are an amazing group of student-athletes who work hard to succeed on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.

Interest in volleyball has grown every year since we started the program. In addition to practice during the season, the young ladies spend countless hours during the off-season training and preparing. They understand that it takes hard work and dedication to be successful on the court.

The antenna and flags are essential pieces of equipment that help players, coaches, and officials accurately judge and call the games. The cart, volleyballs, and setting trainer would allow our practices to flow much more smoothly. Girls will be able to spend more time working than waiting in line to go through drills. We would be able to reduce group sizes so that girls would get more ball touches, which would help their skills to develop even more. They would be able to use the setting trainer to work on fundamentals by themselves, and without having to chase down balls. The cart would allow for easier transport of balls to and from games.
