Thank you for believing in our vision.\r\n\r\nMany of you use technology at home, but in our classroom, it serves a deeper instructional purpose. The MetaQuest 3S VR headsets allow students to step inside history instead of simply reading about it. In 8th grade World History, students can explore ancient civilizations, walk through historical landmarks, and experience immersive learning that makes abstract concepts real. The gaming-based computers and literacy/math programs are not just for entertainment; they provide individualized practice, immediate feedback, and accommodations for students with diverse learning needs. Students who struggle with traditional instruction are now able to engage with content in ways that meet them where they are, building both skill and confidence.\r\n\r\nThe drones have also created excitement and ownership. We use them to document school events, enhance scavenger hunts, and incorporate STEM-based learning. Students are learning problem-solving, teamwork, and responsible technology use. Even the charging stations have helped us create a structured, professional environment where students learn how to manage and care for shared equipment responsibly.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the sense that this classroom feels innovative and future-focused. They often say, \"This feels like college,\" or \"This feels like the real world.\" The VR experiences especially capture their imagination. For many of my students, this is their first time using immersive technology. Watching their faces as they explore a new environment is powerful, they are no longer passive learners but active participants.\r\n\r\nI have seen particular growth in students who typically struggle to stay engaged. Some of my quieter students have become leaders during tech-based activities. Students with special learning needs have especially warmed to the adaptive literacy and math programs because they can practice without fear of embarrassment. The technology levels the playing field. It gives them dignity.\r\n\r\nYour support has not just added devices to a classroom, it has expanded possibilities. My students feel seen, valued, and capable of achieving more. We are deeply grateful for your investment in their future.","fullyFundedDate":1766155344477,"projectUrl":"project/technology-all-around/9700508/","projectTitle":"Technology All Around","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. West","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4132951_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720504490045","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4132951"},{"teacherId":1823662,"projectId":6583541,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations to this project.
