Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is how they take ownership of their learning and consistently show a strong desire to grow academically. They come to class eager to participate, ask questions, and challenge themselves each day. In a small group setting, every scholar has the opportunity to shine brightly, share ideas confidently, and receive the individualized support they need to succeed. Small groups not only help build confidence, but they also allow me to close learning gaps by targeting specific skills in a supportive environment.

The requested items will create a learning space that feels welcoming, flexible, and non-intimidating for all students.

The tabletop privacy boards will help students stay focused, minimize distractions, and feel comfortable taking academic risks during independent work and assessments. The mini dry-erase boards will encourage active participation and hands-on learning while allowing students to practice skills in real time. These tools will also help me closely monitor student understanding, provide immediate feedback, and adjust instruction as needed.

I am especially excited because these materials will support both small-group instruction and whole-group lessons across multiple subject areas. Students will be more engaged, collaborative, and confident as they strengthen their academic skills. With your support, my classroom will become an even more positive and productive learning environment where every child feels empowered to learn and succeed.
