This year we have been off to an amazing start, already having turned out some pretty outstanding projects. The extra help with consumables has allowed us the freedom to take our budget further. We greatly appreciate the updated safety equipment too as much of our stuff was worn and well used. \r\n\r\nThis year our focus has been in certification welds. Students have been working on their stick and mig welding abilities through different labs and projects that we have in the shop. I believe this year I will be able to certify every student enrolled in an Ag Mechanics class with at least one American Welding Society certification. \r\n\r\nWe have also been able to take on some community projects this year as well. We have built a bench (as shown in the photos) to be donated to a local scholarship fund for an alumni student here in Encampment. We also have built a grill (also shown in photos) that we donated towards the Wyoming FFA Foundation auction. Every bit of help we can get only gives us more options to take on projects like these and we are incredibly grateful. \r\n\r\nOnce again, thank you so much for supporting my classroom, our students, and the trades industry. As they compare different liquids and conditions, they're beginning to notice how factors like volume, surface area, and insulation affect cooling.\r\n\r\nThe best part is seeing how engaged they are — asking questions, making predictions, and connecting what they see in class to everyday experiences like why soup cools differently than tea or how a thermos keeps drinks warm.\r\n\r\nYour support is helping us turn these abstract science ideas into real, hands-on learning.
