Students engaged in a variety of stations that were aligned to grade level math standards. They competed in events based on the winter olympics, so they were also learning about the Olympics while they did math. It was sucha fun way to engage students in learning! The ability to purchase some of the resources from TPT enabled us to make sure that games were differentiated for different grade levels without having to spend a ton of time on development. A few exisiting resources got us to the fun faster. You are making a difference in schools, for children, for teachers and for our future. You are helping provide the materials needed for success and we are forever grateful.\r\n\r\nYour donation of markers to our class has allowed the first graders to create items with vibrant color and detail. We use them for a variety of activities from highlighting text to making bulletin boards to creating gifts for our buddy class. We do a Balloons Over Broadway unit in November that having markers for will be so nice as the colors will be so much richer than their crayons. \r\n\r\nIn addition, you donated some paint brushes for the kiddos to make Kindness Rocks. The students placed them somewhere on the weekend after they made them. One student even took theirs to the zoo in Colorado and hid it there for someone to find. It was so sweet and we are going to make more next spring since it was such a special \r\nactivity.\r\n\r\nOne of the other items you donated was two magnetic spice racks. They are used to display our book of the week on the chalkboard with the anchor posters that relates to the skills we are working on with that specific book. They are so useful and make our classroom look classy.\r\n\r\nI am excited for you to see our pictures and how your items are being used in our classroom.
