The manipulative pieces have helped take away the demand for knowing the spelling of words which makes them excited to make sentences. They are able to use the pieces to build sentences much easier than they would without. Which increases the motivation to make sentences. Several of them who are very far behind are able to use the pieces to model sentences and then copy. This helps with letter formation, spacing, and all the mechanics of writing. The summer school students are currently enjoying using the resources. They really like the biodiversity lab that uses beads to represent an ecosystem. This really helps them understand how one change can affect other organisms. The water table has been very exciting for them. They are so interested in watching how water flows and moves underground with this. The geoblocks have been helpful for them to understand visually what is happening underground. The porosity lab was amazing! They were all engaged and got to see how water flows in different materials. I can't wait to use these materials with the robotics team in the fall as part of their project. Your generosity has truly transformed our daily PE rounds.\r\n\r\nMy students have been so excited to use the gator skin balls in any activity we play, at any grade level!\r\n\r\nSince receiving them, we have been using the balls to work on our throwing, kicking, rolling, and teambuilding skills. A specific highlight was our \"Defend the Castle\" game last week. Because the balls are so easy to grip and don't hurt on impact, I saw students who usually stay on the sidelines jumping right into the action, diving for catches and practicing their overhand throws with total confidence.\r\n\r\nOur next step is a teambuilding tournament where students will apply the sportsmanship skills we've been practicing. We're moving from individual skill-building to collaborative play, using these resources to learn how to communicate and strategize as a team.\r\n\r\nYour support didn't just buy \"gym stuff\"—it bought my students the confidence to play without fear!","fullyFundedDate":1768593057422,"projectUrl":"project/equipment-for-inclusive-pe-games/10019450/","projectTitle":"Equipment for Inclusive PE Games","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Sidders","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10404066"},{"teacherId":10388267,"projectId":9992105,"letterContent":"Thank you to each and every one of you for helping positively impact my Science and Social Studies classroom. We have used the calculators numerous times to connect our Science learning to Math skills and concepts multiple times already. This helps students build the process of how to solve mathematical equations if they can't necessarily compute them on pencil/paper. Since we are a Title I school, where 90%+ of our families live below the poverty line, any and all classroom supplies help support our students and provide learning opportunities they may not have otherwise.\r\n\r\nStudents have done exuberantly well with following directions and expectations with the calculators thus far. They have kept them clean, safe and in working order, which is sometimes hard for our students if proper expectations are not given. They appreciate the time and money you donated to our classroom to help make these opportunities not only more readily available, but also more speedy to provide more educational opportunities for my students.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, and theirs, thank you to all!","fullyFundedDate":1768149713289,"projectUrl":"project/dont-let-our-science-skills-divide-us/9992105/","projectTitle":"Don't Let Our Science Skills Divide Us","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Dahlk","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10388267"},{"teacherId":10341990,"projectId":9876066,"letterContent":"I cannot express the gratitude I felt when this project was completed!
