At the end of AP testing season, students are definitely exhausted and most teachers struggle to get them to do much of anything in their classes until summer break. My classroom was a glaring exception to this trend! Students rushed to class and were absolutely enthralled to learn the games that you provided and teach them to their friends.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, your games have also been a hit in my board game club. Specifically, there is a subset of students that are not involved in our athletics program that have found a home and camaraderie in this club. Some students have remarked that they refuse to miss school on Tuesdays because they do not want to miss board game club. \r\n\r\nAgain, the games that you help provide my classroom are an unconventional way to infuse a love of learning that hopefully goes beyond my students' time in high school. If you break it down to the basics, all you provided was some cardboard boxes filled with cards and some cardboard tokens. In reality, however, you helped build positive relationships and generated a preponderance of smiles in room 819.
