The student engagement has surged. The end of the year can be a difficult time to get students to focus, but with the iPad, it has not been hard at all. They all want a turn using it in class. We have been using it to solve two-digit by two-digit multiplication problems. They have really enjoyed using the iPad to show the class how they solved it. The Apple Pencil makes it super easy to write on the iPad, and even easier for the rest of the class to read it. Thank you so much for making all of this possible for our class!! This shirt announced to the rest of the school that they were part of the class as a solid team. It also informed everyone that they could, and do, make choices that they can be proud of. Since the dry-erase boards are magnetic, students can use the letter tiles and be able to write and circle around them. They can mark up the words by scooping the different syllables and letter sounds. So far we have only been growing some tomato plants to see if they will produce tomatoes in our classroom. The tomatoes are so tall and the students love to come in and check out how much they have grown. They also love looking to see if they can find any blossoms. (Don't tell them it is too early, that would ruin their excitement of checking each day!) When we get the peat pellets, the students will be able to start their own plants that they can take home.
