Many of my students start the school year lacking many supplies that are needed to do everyday tasks. These items include pencils, glue, index cards, and crayons. It is important to me that all of my students feel included and have everything they need to learn. I do not want anyone to feel left out or like they have less than others.\r\n\r\nThe school supplies you donated were imperative to my student's learning. We use index cards for spelling flashcards, vocabulary work, sight words, and small group work. These are very much appreciated. Sharpened pencils are such a blessing to have. My students always have a sharp pencil when they need one and can borrow or use one at any time. We never run out! My students learn a lot from our large anchor charts that we make as a class together. The large post-it super sticky paper is perfect for these anchor charts. When learning a new topic such as Even and Odd or Main Idea and Key Details, we create an anchor chart together that students can then reference throughout the rest of the school year. I am especially appreciative of the laminating sheets. I love to create new and engaging small group work and activities for my students.
