My students love the white boards and the markers. The photos will speak for themselves. If it were possible for the kids to take the white boards home and do their homework on them - they would!!! Students who were reluctant about doing practice math problems on paper will now work out math problems on the white boards. \r\n\r\nThe biggest use of the white boards is during math time. The white boards provide an easy tool for me to walk around and conduct mini assessments and provide instant feedback. Students are not embarassed because they can simply wipe away any errors and try the problem over again without incident.\r\n\r\nThank you again. Our closet serves students ranging from 3-year-olds in Pre-K to growing middle schoolers, so finding the right size often took time, effort, and some frustration.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our clothing closet is now much more organized. The shelf dividers allow us to sort clothing by size, making it easier for staff to quickly find what students need. The impact is felt nearly daily when a student needs a change of clothes. The children were very excited when the boxes arrived and we opened them together. The materials included in this project are adding a new depth to almost every subject area.\r\nThe rolls of paper are being used as part of our daily writing, we have a handwriting time after breakfast. After the children finish practice writing their names and letters, they can then free draw on the table. This is a nice way to begin our day, and the children have amazing conversations with one another. Sometimes there maybe 5 different conversations going on at once or one day someone announced that spiders can fly. No one disagreed with this statement and everyone then started to share what they know about spiders.\r\nThe scooters are a huge hit, we use them both in the hallway and on the playground. The children can go backwards, forward and spin in circles. The do-dot markers, paint and paper have expanded our art supplies nicely, giving the children a lot of painting opportunities. The cereal dispenser was a slightly odd request but it has made a great sensory center when filled with painted chickpeas and dyed popcorn. The children turn the knob, fill and sort bowls by color and size, filter out the popcorn using a colander, and then refill the container and repeat the process.\r\nThank you for supporting my classroom and your support of public education!","fullyFundedDate":1772807503490,"projectUrl":"project/combinatorial-play-and-learning/9968291/","projectTitle":"Combinatorial Play and Learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Morrell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3919708_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1708992263376","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/n-morrell"},{"teacherId":3919708,"projectId":10150916,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting my Books By Catherine Rayner project.
