Your generosity has made an immediate and meaningful impact on a group of curious, energetic readers who are just beginning to discover what kinds of stories truly excite them.\r\n\r\nMy students were absolutely thrilled when the books arrived. They couldn't wait to dive in—grabbing titles, sharing them with friends, and eagerly settling into our reading corner. It has been so rewarding to watch them connect with stories that reflect their interests, whether that's sports, adventure, humor, or the outdoors. These books are more than just stories—they are windows and mirrors that help students see themselves, their passions, and their potential.\r\n\r\nThe Jake Maddox sports books have been a huge hit with my students who live and breathe athletics. The excitement and imagination sparked by The Last Kids on Earth series has brought a new energy to reading time, and the Wilderness Ridge series is helping students connect with nature and outdoor adventures in a meaningful way. Through these stories, my students are exploring teamwork, courage, friendship, and resilience.\r\n\r\nOn a personal note, your impact has reached beyond my classroom. My own son lights up every time he visits my room and discovers the Jake Maddox books—titles that are at a higher level than what he currently has access to at his school. Seeing his excitement alongside my students' is a powerful reminder of just how meaningful your support truly is.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students are building confidence, developing empathy, and beginning to see themselves as heroes in their own stories. These kits were a fantastic way to prepare for our state testing this year.\r\n\r\nAll students in our building were able to make a sensory kit to help them navigate their feelings. We focused on all five senses giving them items to use for each. As we were making these for our second time this year (the first being a way to prepare our mindset for the school year, this as a refresh/reteaching opportunity) students were so excited and shared how they use the items, and when they have helped. We have had a few new students since this fall, this was their first time making their kit, they were so surprised that they were given candy, gum, chapstick, lotion, and an app to add to their phone. As one student said, \"you don't want us on devices, I'm so excited to be able to use my phone now.\"\r\n\r\nOne of our eighth graders, who has been able to make this kit three times, shared how he he has a calm strip on his laptop, phone, and now has one to give his sibling.
