The story is so engaging and they cannot wait to get to the next chapter. We have many fun projects and writing assignments that stem from this book. Sometimes they even still love to pull out the mini flashlights to read with on Fridays. Most use these to concentrate on their learning. They help tune out non essential sounds allowing the students less distraction. Students are able to listen to uploaded assignments without hearing everyone else's computers. Several of my students like to wear the headphones during a test to eliminate distracting sounds. I feel like I am able to give these students the advantage they need to succeed.\r\n\r\nAnother item we use are the bean bags. I am a firm believer in alternative seating. Students don't learn the same way. I now have a bean bag sign up sheet which allows every student the opportunity to choose. I believe students learn best when they are comfortable and in a situation to pay attention and focus. It's these small things, that make the biggest impact on learning. \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to have both the headphones and the beanbags.
