Each student has a place to keep their writing neat and organized while they are working on it. The binders have the alphabet and punctuation mark reminder pages. Independent students use the binders if they finish assignments quickly and need to wait quietly for others. Whole group writing lessons include deciding fact or opinion in writing. This helps the children with comprehension and vocabulary delays. Parents can also help their children practice speech sounds in conversation with the story books and comprehension questions. We have had a hard winter as far as weather. My students have had many days of indoor recess. The magnetic chess game is easy for each of them to learn. They are developing strategy to win. They even try to beat the teacher! The best part is that they don't realize they are developing skills that will help them to be successful in the future.\r\n My students are learning to spell phonetically. The whiteboards have been very helpful for quick practice and review. We sound out both familiar words and unfamiliar ones.
