Since some of my students don’t have a great home life, I want to create a love for learning so they can escape their worries and heartaches. I want to show them that they can go on adventures without ever leaving their bedroom. Reading is a wonderful way to do that. I also think that reading is a foundation to learning. If you can’t read the math problems, then it’s hard to complete the problem. I want to provide my students with different types of stories to help find their interests. Children can learn so much just by picking up a book and reading.
