Thanks to your generous support, we were able to create a much more realistic and hands-on Stop the Bleed training experience for our high school students and teaching staff. At the end of the school year, we held several training sessions that certified 157 staff members and 72 students!!! The donated funds provided wound trainers, simulated blood, gauze, washable absorbent pads, and a table dedicated to setting up our training station.\r\n\r\nThese supplies allowed our students to do more than simply learn about bleeding control. They were able to practice packing simulated wounds with gauze and controlling severe bleeding in a realistic training environment. The simulated blood and wound trainers made the experience especially engaging and helped participants understand the importance of acting quickly and correctly during an emergency.\r\n\r\nOur students were excited to see the training setup and eager to participate. The hands-on practice helped build their confidence and gave them an opportunity to learn lifesaving skills they can use at school, at home, and in the community. Teaching staff were also able to practice these skills, helping us create a safer, better-prepared school environment.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we plan to continue using these reusable supplies to provide Stop the Bleed training to additional students and staff. Because many of the materials can be cleaned and used again, this donation will continue to benefit our school community well beyond a single training session. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to provide practical, lifesaving education that our students and staff will carry with them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1779370471265,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-training-real-world-impact-st/10117440/","projectTitle":"Hands-on Training, Real-world Impact. These are not just classroom supplies. They are lifesaving tools that allow our students to practice real-world emergency response skills in a way that feels authentic and meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen the equipment arrived, and the students saw the wound trainers for the first time, their reaction was awesome. They were excited, curious, and, honestly, a little stunned by how realistic everything looked. They wanted to take them out of the packaging right away! The realism made the training feel real. Instead of just talking about bleeding control, they were able to physically apply pressure, pack wounds, and properly secure pressure bandages. Watching them move from hesitation to confidence within a single class period was quite the change. One student said, \"This feels real. I actually know what to do now.\" That moment alone showed how impactful your donation truly is.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped shape students who are not only prepared to respond in an emergency but who also carry the confidence to step up and help others in critical moments.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in their safety, their skills, and their future. Your generosity is directly empowering the next generation of capable, compassionate responders.","fullyFundedDate":1770087615914,"projectUrl":"project/help-give-my-students-life-saving-equipm/10078875/","projectTitle":"Help Give my Students Life-Saving Equipment for Hands-on Training","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. LeCompte","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10328537"},{"teacherId":9063614,"projectId":9481846,"letterContent":"Thank you for providing my students with these tools. They have really helped in keeping them organized and create a work ethic that leads to them being more prepared. Accontability in class has become significantly higher and I have been proud of the growth so far.\r\n\r\nThe students in my room have a variety of disabilities and there has been some major growth in their reading throughout the year. It is truly a challenge to find funding sources within our state that support music education programs, and your donation has made a meaningful difference for us.\r\n\r\nDue to insufficient funding, our students often face a lack of essential resources that are critical to their growth, development, and success. Your contribution helped bridge that gap by providing items such as t-shirts, cups, and sunglasses, seemingly simple items that added tremendous value and support during our band camp, the crucial kick-off to our season.\r\nThese items not only helped meet practical needs during long days in the sun, but also boosted morale, built a sense of unity, and created excitement among both our new and returning members. The students felt seen and supported, which made a powerful impact on their engagement and enthusiasm right from the start.\r\nBecause of your generosity, the Eisenhower High School Marching Band and Color Guard (Yakima, WA) were able to start the season with pride and purpose. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping us make this season unforgettable.","fullyFundedDate":1752586566205,"projectUrl":"project/band-camp/9341082/","projectTitle":"Band Camp","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lily (Chloe Pierce)","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10030947"},{"teacherId":9268136,"projectId":9338196,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting Equipping Eisenhower Speech and Debate With Tools for Success!
