Students were so excited to be able to experience new games that many of them have never played like pickleball and badminton. These games also gave our students an opportunity to challenge themselves in a new way, push themselves out of their comfort zones, and continue to explore how they can identify with health and fitness in different ways. So many young students don't feel connected to sports and don't feel like PE is for them. When this project showed them that there are so many more fitness activities they have yet to explore, they really opened up their minds to new ways of taking care of themselves. The materials that we were able to receive because of your gracious and generous donations have completely transformed our library space. With all of the paper, tape, book stands, sign holders, ink, and other essential library supplies we have finally been able to create new and exciting displays and learning experiences that have greatly impacted each of our 500 hundred students that visit the library weekly. Not only have these additions been fun and engaging for our students and their reading journeys, but the materials from this project are the only reason our library has continued to function this year. It was thanks to you that we got the necessary supplies to continue circulating books, sending books to neighboring schools, and keep all our kids reading! Students were so excited when they saw our big display of Battle of the Books titles and got to hear about this opportunity. We had 15 students sign up on the very first day!\r\n\r\n Participating in this competition will foster a love for reading in our middle school students by encouraging them to explore a diverse range of books, enhancing their comprehension and critical thinking skills. This team competition will promote collaboration and communication, which will help students build connections and create a stronger sense of community. We are excited to set goals along the way to motivate students and encourage them to strive for excellence.
