My students enjoyed having colorful materials all year round to help them engage in their learning! The colorful wooden blocks were a huge hit. They were used in get to know you activities at the beginning of the year and as review and reinforcement tool throughout the year. For example as we worked with decimals, I printed and laminated review sheets for students to practice problems while playing with the tumbling blocks. They were engaged and worked not only to solve problems, but to collaborate and engage with their peers. These blocks were a game changer and I can't wait to keep using them with future classes. \r\n\r\n All the classroom supplies were used to their fullest extend this year! The pencil sharpener was the best supply we could have asked for. It was quick and efficient in sharpening pencils. We didn't have a line at all this year to sharpen pencils! The students lovingly nicknamed it \"Muncher'. All the bright color cardstock helped create resources for my students to use though out the year. From notes, anchor charts, and games, the colorful cardstock was used to hep engage students visually. The Expo markers, crayons, and glue were all used this year during core and small groups. They lasted all year, so I didn't have to replenish them throughout the school year. Thank you donors!
