Prior to setting up this donation project I had been concerned about how I would navigate not having quite enough instruments to go around due to the large class sizes. Thanks to your generosity, every student has access to their own instrument each time they come into music class. They really were excited at how \"cool\" the new ones look!\r\n Right after spring break we began our Ukulele unit. 4th graders began brand new and 5th grade continued and reviewed. They are about to begin preparing some pieces for their end of year concert, which will feature each class (4 classes total are using/learning Ukuleles) performing on Ukuleles, as well as a vocal song. Watching their excitement and joy as their own skills improve brings me so much joy, too. Each song they play along to they do a big cheer at the end after they've accomplished it. It's wonderful to see them excited about learning and appreciating the patience it takes to be a musician. Thank you SO MUCH for helping me to bring that joy to their lives through your donation to this project.","fullyFundedDate":1770333626232,"projectUrl":"project/student-ukuleles-to-make-a-complete-set/10078396/","projectTitle":"Student Ukuleles to Make a Complete Set","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gladstone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3282736_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y208&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1770058722033","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3282736"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55341","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":380,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":23,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":29,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":0,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":82.6,"schoolId":55341,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Silver Lake Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Silver Lake Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/federal-way-public-schools/silver-lake-elementary-school/55341"}
