Science is a subject that is often pushed to the side and this school year I would like to change that mindset. The products that I have selected will allow them to work together as a community and individually feed the curiosity of the students. As a teacher of 3rd graders, we teach them to work independently as well as cohesively with partners or in a group. The STEM kits will allow the students to explore and think like scientists and engineers in their curious world. Our science curriculum focuses on force and magnets and the items chosen will help with project based learning. The opportunity to use hands-on materials will strengthen or connect the lessons to their experience. Having a variety of materials on hand for the students will enhance the natural curiosity.
