The Floating Field invites students to notice how people use creativity to overcome real challenges. How Do You Spell Unfair? helps us look closely at themes of equity and justice, and students practice using evidence from the text to explain their thinking.\r\n\r\nOne of my multilingual learners, who is sometimes hesitant to speak during whole-group discussions, lit up during How Do You Spell Unfair?. The materials arrived with perfect timing for us to end our school year. The rice and vehicle sensory kits were perfect for June as students needed more breaks. We used all of the kits and were evenly split on the preference of rice vs. sand. Both were equally messy :)\r\n\r\nThe fidgets were great as new items in our break boxes. Students were able to use the maze and marble mats for help with breathing. The bubble ball sensory fidgets were fun to take apart and then put back together. \r\n\r\nOur pencil sharpener was a life saver for ending the school year with sharp pencils.
