This year we have been teaching writing in small groups which has made a significant impact of students writing skills and motivation. In small groups students can quickly get feedback and have more opportunities to learn from each other. \r\n\r\nWe noticed that our small group leaders were struggling to make group materials easily accessible to students in their groups. With the addition of whiteboards that can be easily moved around our space this problem has been solved. Not only do students get clearer instructions, but our small group leaders are able to take more initiative and will write notes for students during our breif whole group introduction.\r\n\r\nWhen talking to staff and students both said that the whiteboards make know what to do easier.
