We couldn't wait to start using everything. The colorful clay and craft tape have been perfect for our science projects, especially as students work on creating ecosystem models. The magnetic clips and rainbow trays have helped us keep our work organized, and the ear protection has been super helpful during our group experiments when things get a little noisy!\r\n\r\nThe biggest hit, though, was the slime! I've been using it as a fun reward for students who show teamwork, kindness, and effort. The moment I pulled it out, the whole class lit up — there were so many smiles and laughs. It's been a great motivator and something they all look forward to earning.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be starting our ecosystem projects, and the students can't wait to use the new supplies to make their models even more creative and detailed. Your gift has truly brought excitement and curiosity to our young readers. These books have helped us introduce skills like making inferences, identifying the main idea, and understanding character feelings and motivation. These skills are essential for growing thoughtful, confident readers.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active, joyful experience. Students choose books during our daily independent reading time, participate in partner \"book talks,\" and use the texts during guided reading lessons. The new titles have added fresh voices and perspectives to our shelves, sparking lively discussions and deeper connections.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came when a student who had struggled to stay focused during reading time tried a graphic novel for the first time. He couldn't put it down! It allowed him to still use a lot of pictures to help me read but gave him more confidence since it was more of a chapter book. He now tells me he loves to read. Moments like these remind me how powerful the right book can be.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have found new favorites like the graphic novels and non-fiction books . I've seen increased reading stamina, more frequent book swaps, and a noticeable boost in confidence during reading groups. Your generosity has directly helped nurture a love of reading and learning in every child.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom and helping my students see themselves as readers.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nMichelle Brown\r\n2nd Grade Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1744237910353,"projectUrl":"project/books-for-classroom/9138054/","projectTitle":"Books for Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9934176"},{"teacherId":9818364,"projectId":9009087,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donation of headphones to our classroom! These headphones have made a significant impact on my students' learning experience, especially as we incorporate more technology into our lessons. Many of my students are English learners, and having individual headphones allows them to engage with language-learning programs without distractions, improving their listening comprehension and pronunciation. They also use the headphones for interactive reading programs, which provide real-time feedback and help build their confidence in literacy. For students who need additional support, the ability to focus on personalized instruction through educational apps has been invaluable.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in my classroom has been undeniable! Students love having their own set of headphones to use during independent and small-group activities. One student in particular, who was previously hesitant to participate in reading exercises, has become much more engaged thanks to the interactive lessons made possible by this technology. The ability to hear words clearly and at their own pace has given them a newfound sense of confidence.
