My students are given instruction in two languages and are high needs for differentiation and authentic learning experiences. With the addition of iPads into our classroom, we will be one of the only classrooms in the school that has access to such technology. My students will be able to access apps that reinforce skills and enable higher level learning. An iPad helps students who are kinesthetic and visual learners open up the doors of education and individualize their learning experiences. The iPad will become a tool that will help create more authentic learning experiences in the classroom as well as build twenty first century skills that our children need in order to be successful in a quickly evolving technological world. My students will be able to work in centers with the iPads and utilize them to enhance their literacy skills in both English and Spanish. With these resources they will receive adaptive technology and will also be able to create both independent and collaborative STEM projects in order to show true understanding of concepts.
