You truly came through for us in the best way. With our school's new no airpods policy, this class set of headphones couldn't have arrived at a better time. They've quickly become one of the most used and most loved tools in our room! Students plug in for independent reading, use translation and read aloud features to access texts and assignments and even use the extension cords to stay charged and productive all period long.\r\n\r\nIt's been so rewarding to see students who normally struggle with focus/access light up when they realize to an assignment being read aloud or use translation to understand something fully. The headphones have leveled the playing field in a real way and have raised the bar for self-strategizing for focus. It also doesn't hurt that the organization bags also keep things neat, which is nothing short of miracle in a middle school classroom filled with 30+ kids.\r\n\r\nThank you for choosing to give, without knowing us personally. My students eagerly helped me unbox everything and put the necessary materials together. They were especially curious about the trophies, wondering what they would be used for. Little do they know, they will be awarded at the end of our unit for the best argument—a challenge they are already looking forward to! They also love not having to stress about pens, enjoy highlighting their notes, and appreciate the convenience of using the new clipboards during discussions. \r\n\r\nAs we move forward, my students will continue using these materials to build their critical thinking and debate skills. They are currently preparing for a structured argument activity where they will use evidence-based reasoning to support their claims. Thanks to your support, they have the tools they need to stay organized, engaged, and confident in their learning. Additionally, (thanks to a classroom supply of headphones) students will now have access to speech-to-text and text-to-speech accommodations for translations in essay writing, helping them express their ideas more effectively.
