Because of your kindness, my kindergarten students now have engaging, hands-on resources that are helping them build foundational reading skills in meaningful and exciting ways.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the new materials daily during our phonics and small group reading instruction. The students especially love using the letter manipulatives, sound boxes, and decoding tools to practice blending sounds and building words. One special moment that stood out was watching a student who had been struggling with reading independently sound out and read a complete word using the manipulatives for the very first time. The confidence and excitement on their face was unforgettable, and the entire class celebrated that success together.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were thrilled. Their eyes lit up with excitement as we unpacked everything together. They were eager to explore the tools and immediately wanted to begin practicing their reading skills. The hands-on materials have made learning feel fun, interactive, and accessible for all students.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are continuing to strengthen phonemic awareness, decoding, and early reading fluency. Students are currently working on reading simple CVC words, identifying beginning and ending sounds, and building confidence as readers. These resources will continue supporting small group instruction, literacy centers, and individualized practice to help every student grow at their own pace.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and their future. Your generosity is making a lasting impact in our classroom each and every day.","fullyFundedDate":1778077140590,"projectUrl":"project/science-of-reading/9988201/","projectTitle":"Science of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perales","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5262154_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1522248724422","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5262154"},{"teacherId":9718089,"projectId":9939312,"letterContent":"My students are thrilled to have access to new art supplies and other resources in our classroom!
